SEO FAQs

  1. How much does SEO cost?

There is no set cost for SEO. It is a unique service, and each job is based on a variety of factors. These things include the size of your website, the amount of work that needs to be done, your online competitive market, your geographic market, etc.

  2. How long does it take to see results?

Typically, the major part of SEO work can be done within 2-3 weeks, sometimes less. Once that is done the website is usually re-indexed by Google within a few days. Results can be almost immediate. However, there is usually an initial bump in your rankings, but further improvements will continue over the next weeks and even months.

  3. How long will it take to see an increase in traffic?

As soon as your site is ranking better you will see an increase in traffic. The key is to make sure that we have targeted the types of keywords that will result in the kind of traffic that will lead to more business opportunities.

  4. Should I continue with long term SEO even after I have good Google rankings?

The short answer is yes. Google makes frequent changes to their search algorithm. As well, your competitors will also be doing things to make their sites rank better. At the very least, you need to be monitoring the situation and then take action as necessary. If you don’t stay on top of things, you can quickly find yourself falling behind.

  5. I’ve heard that links are really important. Can we just buy them?

No, Google tracks this very closely. If you buy links you can be punished by having your website dropped down in the rankings. Google does not like to be manipulated. This is a very dangerous game.

  6. Can you guarantee my rankings?

No. You can’t guarantee what you can’t control. But, what we can guarantee is that we will stay on top of the latest Google algorithms and do everything we can to get you to rank highly.

  7. Should I also do Paid Advertising, like Google Ads?

Maybe. Research shows that being seen on Google more often results in more targeted traffic. It’s important to evaluate Google Ads for your specific market. Sometimes it makes perfect sense, with clicks costing literally pennies, while other times they can cost $10, $30 or even more per click. We will assess the situation and make an informed recommendation.

  8. How often do search engines update their algorithms?

Search engines like Google make hundreds of changes a year. However, most of these are somewhat minor tweaks. Major changes that can really impact your rankings tend to happen a couple of times a year. It’s all in the hands of the “Google gods”.
